Local Student Recruiter

Summary

Our National, Regional and Local recruiters help brainstorm and organize the events where NETPREP recruit students. This can include college fairs, where NETZPREP recruiters visit places like high schools to advertise our program to students and families. They may also organize career fair booths, where we advertise our courses and the many other benefits we have to offer. Recruiters may organize many elements of an event, including booth design, time slots and product placement for events.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provides career and academic counseling, planning, and advising to potential students; assists students in the development of testing strategies, writing skills, and completion of applications through seminars and workshops; coordinates applications for financial assistance and potential payment plans through NETPREP.
  2. Participates in the development of student recruitment and retention plans, strategies, and written materials.
  3. Visits high schools and vocational schools to speak to groups and individual students and meets with school counselors to promote NETPREP; coordinates community workshops and retreats; arranges visits from prospective students and parents.
  4. Creates a database (ex. Excel Worksheet) of prospective and current students and/or potential part-time and degree candidates that includes time and date stamps as well as last contact date and status.
  5. Distributes marketing and advertising materials for student recruitment and retention with NETPREP.
  6. Prepares weekly reports and status to Director of Recruiting for NETPREP.
  7. Performs small miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned to help build enrollment at NETPREP.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy,
    and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures for enrollment.
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
  • Knowledge of student recruitment and retention issues.
  • Ability to analyze course prerequisites, certification, and/or curriculum/graduation
    requirements.
  • Organizing and coordinating skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Distinguishing Characteristics

Position requires a) visiting high schools, and/or vocational schools to deliver talks and represent NETPREP to potential students; b) development and distribution of recruitment marketing and advertising materials to boost enrollment.

Conditions of Employment and Compen$ation

  • All regular, non-temporary part-time positions available will be paid on agreed
    contingency per student for our National, Regional and Local recruiters.
  • Employees who provide services to NETPREP will be subject to a Nationwide background
    check as one of the conditions of hire.
